My Plan

Unlike Andy McDonald, when I am in Westminster I will speak about Middlesbrough and Teesside in a positive fashion. I will not try to obstruct the creation of local jobs and stymie investment.

Enterprise and people are at the heart of everything I do, from running my family business to raising money for charities. I am a steadfast champion of Rare Dementia Support and the Alsama Project, a Beirut-based charity supporting refugee teenagers in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

My Plan

1. Middlesbrough Development Corporation

I will use my many years of business expertise to work with our new Middlesbrough Development Corporation to bring investment, jobs and public services back into our town centre. We must reverse the years of managed decline under the Labour Party.

2. Ensure world-class education on our doorstep

I will work with our brilliant education leaders, local business and central government to make sure our young people no longer have to leave Teesside for a top class education. I will also work with the Department for Education to ensure construction on Outwood Academy Riverside starts urgently.

3. Immigration reform

As your MP, I will fight for a fairer immigration system. One that supports growth and protects the wages and communities of Teesside.

4. Teesside first, always

Andy McDonald has repeatedly used parliamentary privilege to talk down Teesside jobs and investment. He’s on the side of the Unions, the same Unions that have caused transport and NHS striking chaos. It’s time for change.

5. Save the Transporter Bridge

I will work with our brilliant Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen to secure funding from the £1 billion HS2 cancellation fund to protect the crown jewel of Teesside.

6. Linthorpe Road Cycle Lanes

I will take action in Parliament to ensure the removal of the disastrous Linthorpe Road cycle lanes to protect local jobs and prioritise efficient transport infrastructure. Unlike Labour, I’ll stay true to my word.
